Qualifications
• County Rules are the same as the state rules
• (Ages 16-21 can apply)
• Candidates must reside in Worth County or adjoining county if the majority of activities are in Worth County
• All contestants will be required to perform a talent at the crowning on Wednesday June 23, 2010. Please contact Abbie Marsh at the Worth County Extension Office to make arrangements.
• The contestant chosen as “Miss Worth County Fair Queen” MUST be able to attend the Iowa State Fair in August to compete in the state wide fair queen competition.
• The contestant chosen as “Miss Worth County Fair Queen” must be present for fair and grandstand activities and provide assistance with these events.
• The judge’s decision will be final.

Information
• Fair Queen Judging/Interview Day will be held Saturday June 12, 2010 at 10:00AM at a location to be announced. Contestants are asked to dress dressy/casual for the occasion and come prepared to be asked interview style questions from the judges.
• Worth County Fair Queen crowning will be held at 7:00PM on Wednesday June 23, 2010. Contestants are asked to meet at the 4-H Food Stand at 6:00PM for a meal together prior to the crowning. Come in elegant apparel and with any talent props, etc.
• “Miss Worth County Fair Queen” will receive a tiara, sash and bouquet at the crowning, as well as a $100 check before the Iowa State Fair.
• The Runner-Up receives a gift of $75.
• Miss Congeniality is a special award picked by the contestants themselves. Miss Congeniality will also receive a monetary gift of $30.
